Support Groups of Greek language and Culture - 29/02/2020

Today our Support groups of Greek language & Culture designed masks, kites and learned about the Greek God of War, Ares, and the Argonauts. Also, students wear a 'marti' which is a Greek custom for celebrating the start of the spring. It is made of red (symbolises the rosy cheeks) and white (symbolises a white complexion) string and is tied onto the wrists. According to the folk superstition, people who wear these bracelets cannot be burnt by the sun.
