Our fifth Greek Lunch Club session brought together familiar faces and new energy as we continued our journey into the Greek language.
Revision of Key Phrases
We began with a short but lively revision of the phrases learned in previous weeks. Students practiced greetings, introductions, and everyday expressions, reinforcing their confidence in speaking aloud. This quick recap helped everyone feel grounded before moving on to the creative activity of the day.
Designing Name Badges in Greek
The highlight of the session was designing personal name badges written in the Greek alphabet. Each participant carefully wrote their name using Greek letters, discovering how familiar sounds take on a new look in another script. The activity sparked conversations about pronunciation, spelling, and the beauty of the alphabet itself.
By the end of the session, everyone proudly displayed their badge, a tangible reminder of their progress and a fun way to connect with the language.
Looking Ahead
Session 5 showed how revision and creativity can go hand in hand. With phrases refreshed and names transformed into Greek script, students are building both confidence and curiosity. We look forward to continuing this journey together in the next session!
